The ConDems and those they are Condeming

“No attempt at ethical or social seduction can eradicate from my heart a deep burning hatred for the Tory Party. So far as I am concerned they are lower than vermin”

– Nye Bevan

Those in control of the DWP seem set all out to begin the destruction of the Welfare system in the UK. Many say the Tories have intended this from it’s inception way back in the 1940s. Since then great leaps and bounds have ensured those most in need and their carers have the basics to ensure they are reasonably comfortable and no longer end up in institutions as they would have many years ago.

Condem rhetoric states they are trying to make the system fairer to those in need and the taxpayer whos contributions in National Insurance and tax “Pay for it”. Nice way to stir up hatred against Welfare Claimants for your own mismanagement of public finds there Gubmnt.

WAll the while of course making quite savage cuts because of a massive financial deficit. Can never quite find the information that totals up the billions the Government bailed out banks with over the past few years.  Or what happened to that £75Bn The Bank of England injected in October 2011 for “Quantative Easing” what ever the fuck that REALLY means.

However we’ve heard all that shit before.

Thing is, tomorrow the 1st of Feb 2012, the bill hits the last stage before it bevcomes a reality for everyone who claims welfare of one sort or another. From the pensioner with the audacity to have a spare room….. to the Cancer patient who cannot assure the DWP that they will possibly die in their next 6 months.

Having lived a few times through brutal Tory rule I leave this page with another Aneurin Bevan quote.

“Not even the apparently enlightened principle of the ‘greatest good for the greatest number’ can excuse indifference to individual suffering. There is no test for progress other than its impact on the individual”
